BARDWELL
Bardwell Farm began in 1685, owned by Robert and Mary Bardwell
The Bardwell Farm has been recognized as one of only two farms in Hampshire County who have weathered 300 years under the care of a single family. The Bardwells note 1685 as the first year of the farm. It descended through seven generations to Arthur Cory Bardwell and his wife Helen ("Huddie"), who found an enthusiastic farming protege in their grandson Harrison.
When Harry Bardwell officially took over the farm in 2016, he became the 9th generation farmer. His father Jonathan (who owns Bardwell Woodworking & Remodeling), worked with his father, A. Cory Bardwell, and continues to work on the farm with Harry. |
